Understanding which of these names deserve serious consideration — and why — is the purpose of this guide.
This is not a ranking. Ranking private universities is not straightforward when the deciding factors differ for every student. What this guide does is explain what makes each university appear on Bangladeshi shortlists and what students should verify before committing.

1. Sharda University — Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR
Sharda is consistently among the most searched names for Bangladeshi students. It appears across social media, counsellor recommendations, and student forums.
Why students consider it: Program range is broad — B.Tech, BBA, BCA, nursing, law, allied health, and design are all available within one campus ecosystem. Scholarship up to 50% is available on many programs.
What to verify: Medical, BDS, and several pharmacy-related programs carry different fee structures. Admission charges and hostel costs need to be added to the scholarship-adjusted tuition to get the real annual figure.

2. Noida International University (NIU) — Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh
NIU is popular because of its flat 50% scholarship structure on many programs, which makes cost comparison easier than universities with variable tiers.
Why students consider it: The 50% structure is straightforward and broadly applicable. Programs in engineering, IT, business, and health sciences are well-attended by Bangladeshi students.
What to verify: The one-time admission package and any program-specific extras need to be included in the total cost calculation.

3. Galgotias University — Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Galgotias is well-regarded for engineering and applied sciences. Its scholarship structure offers up to 60% for engineering, making it competitive on a cost-per-program basis.
Why students consider it: Strong engineering department, IT programs, and a campus that supports international students at scale.
What to verify: Semester-based fee structures need to be converted into annual totals correctly during counselling.

4. Chandigarh University — Chandigarh, Punjab
Chandigarh University appears frequently in Bangladeshi student searches because of its NAAC A+ accreditation and strong placement visibility.

What to verify: Location is further north than NCR-based alternatives. Total costs tend to be higher at Chandigarh University compared to NCR-based partners.
5. Lovely Professional University (LPU) — Phagwara, Punjab
LPU is one of the largest private universities in India and appears on many shortlists because of its program variety and marketing presence.
Why students consider it: Very broad program range, visible scholarship promotions, and a large Bangladeshi student community on campus.
What to verify: LPU’s large size means significant variation in program quality between departments. Research the specific department, not just the university name.
6. Amity University — Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Amity is positioned as a premium private university and appears on shortlists for business, law, and communication programs.
Why students consider it: Brand recognition and a well-established campus with good facilities.
What to verify: Amity’s fees are among the higher range in the NCR private university sector. Scholarship availability and percentage should be confirmed for the specific program before the cost comparison is meaningful.
7. Parul University — Vadodara, Gujarat
Parul appears frequently in discussions about allied health, nursing, and paramedical programs. Its location in Gujarat attracts students who want to move away from the NCR cluster.
Why students consider it: Nursing, physiotherapy, and paramedical programs at competitive costs. Strong placement focus in healthcare.
What to verify: Gujarat is further from Bangladesh than NCR. Travel costs and family visit practicality are higher.
8. Manav Rachna — Faridabad, Haryana
Manav Rachna and its affiliated colleges are popular for engineering and management programs in the NCR region.
Why students consider it: NCR location, reasonable fee structure, and programs practical for engineering and IT career paths.
What to verify: Distinguish between Manav Rachna University and the affiliated International School of Engineering — they have different fee and program structures.
9. SRM University — Multiple campuses (Kattankulathur, Delhi-NCR, Amaravati)
SRM has multiple campuses and a strong reputation for engineering and technology.
Why students consider it: Engineering and tech programs are well-regarded, and the brand carries strong industry linkages.
What to verify: Location matters significantly — the main campus in Tamil Nadu is far from Bangladesh. The Delhi-NCR campus at Sonepat is more practical for Northern Bangladesh students.
10. Graphic Era University — Dehradun, Uttarakhand
Graphic Era appears on shortlists because of its location (Dehradun is a popular student city), engineering focus, and scenic campus.
Why students consider it: Dehradun environment, well-regarded engineering and IT programs, and a supportive student community.
What to verify: Total annual cost including accommodation in Dehradun, and scholarship eligibility for the specific program.
What the list should not become
This list should not be used as a ranking from best to worst. Every student’s ideal university depends on their program, budget, scholarship eligibility, and family comfort with location. A university lower on this list could be a better fit for a specific student than one near the top.
